Which Box to Use?
-
Many customers have asked us which box is right for packing certain items. We have compiled this list of recommendations to help you select just the right boxes for your move.
Small Boxes (16 x12 x 12) are used for books, tools, emptying kitchen cabinets, emptying bedroom dresser drawers, medicine cabinets, all knick-knacks, and small items throughout the home.
Medium Boxes (18 x 18 x16) are used for pots and pans, small appliances, towels, linens, and shoes. This is the most popular and functional size.
Large Boxes (24 x 18 x 18) are used for clothing, blankets, sweaters, and bedding items.
Extra Large Boxes (24 x 18 x 24) are used for lampshades, large pillows, and large comforters—only light, fluffy items.
Dish Boxes (12 x 12 x12) are extra thick boxes with 16 individual squares of cushioning material used to insert between dishes. Each box packs 16 dishes.
Glass Boxes (18 x 18 x 16) have 32 individual compartments for glasses to fit in, making packing them quick and easy. Prewrapping glasses in paper is not required unless additional protection is desired.
Wardrobe Boxes (4-feet tall) comes with a metal bar across the top for hanging clothes to prevent wrinkling. .
Picture/Mirror Boxes (small, medium, and large sizes) are designed for pictures, mirrors, glass table tops, marble shelves, etc. Use bubble wrap or paper pads to cushion these items. The boxes are 4 inches wide and may hold 2 or more items, depending upon the thickness of the items to be packed.
TV Boxes are for 27-inch TVs and smaller. For TVs larger than 27 inches, wrap in corrugated cardboard or use your large bedspreads.
